Refund on returns

I have recently had a battle with boohoo over a refund on my returns. I purchased 7 items in one parcel but none were suitable so I returned them all. They only refunded me for 5 items. I know I sent all 7 items back. I saw on this site that it has become common practice for boohoo to do this so I thought I must pursue it. I entered into an email exchange. I was told the cctv footage was checked and there were only 5 items. They refused to share the footage quoting data protection, which I argued was not relevant here. Should the matter proceed to a court hearing they would be obliged to produce it. They then got someone else to check the footage and again refused a refund. I asked for their complaints procedure and they then put me on to a support manager to review it. Again saying the footage only showed 5 items. Eventually I was asked what tape I used. I was surprised by the question because I thought that they would know this from the footage. I nevertheless humoured them. They came back saying it had be tampered with in the way to them and have refunded me! There is clearly a problem in their supply chain. I wanted to share this to encourage people not to give up when you know you’re right.
