Shed gone wrong

£400 for an 8x6 shed seems extremely cheap. I paid £1600 for one 10x8 12 years ago. I purchased locally and saw the materials being used before I purchased. You may get a decent shed when buying online but it's always a risk.

One of my better decisions was building a wooden frame slightly smaller than the shed on well drained gravel thus keeping the shed 6" off the ground. Has worked exceptionally well. The felt roof was a total pain though and I slapped a corrugated iron roof on it a couple of years ago. The shed is probably 15-16 years old now.1

£400 is ridiculously cheap for an 8 x 6. I bought a similar size shed for much more last year and the quality was so poor the manufacturers agreed to take it back and refunded me full purchase/assembly price.

I agree £400 8x6 shed is very very cheap, brings to mind piggy number 2.

At that price I'm not surprised the wood is rough and the colour is patchy. It sounds like it's a "disposable" shed that will last a few years but won't survive significant weather events unless it's reinforced and improved.0
