In the Zappi app , set the slider to 100% in the eco+ mode. If your solar power is above 1.4Kw , then the car will start charging on excess solar only, and should not draw any grid powertim_p said:How do I tell who initiated it?
edit: nothing showing in the Octopus App. Car connected to Zappi (obviously!) but Zappi in Eco+ mode and there’s some half decent solar so maybe it’s just the Zappi doing its thing, although the actual charge rate was way above the solar generation. Home battery adds a layer of confusion too I guess.1 -
It will only show at the time. The OctoAid app will also show smart charge slots that were completed, but only for the 12 hours previous, and is not 100% accurate.tim_p said:How do I tell who initiated it?

It already is set at 100%. The house battery is what I think is confusing it.northernsparky said:

I strongly recommend configuring your system so that the house battery can't 'see' the Zappi (i.e. the grid CT clamp for the battery is upstream of the Zappi) so that it never unintentionally discharges into the car. You can still charge from the battery if desired by setting the battery to discharge to the grid but leaving the car plugged in so the Zappi diverts the excess.tim_p said:

That might be easier said that done, the Zappi is several metres and a few walls from the battery. It is the other side of a wall from the CU though.Petriix said:I strongly recommend configuring your system so that the house battery can't 'see' the Zappi (i.e. the grid CT clamp for the battery is upstream of the Zappi) so that it never unintentionally discharges into the car.
