So, for those who have helped thus far, thank you

I have a court date in April as Gladstones have made this go all the way to county court; fine. At least its in my home town so don't have to travel far.

They wont be attending the hearing in person so it will just be myself and the judge.

Just thought I would add the update for anyone interested

It probably won't just be you and the judge because Gladstones usually send a rep.

I really hope you haven't gone off piste and not read 'what to do when' in the NEWBIES thread second post under the heading in RED CAPITALS?

I'm worried that you haven't come back to show us your WS and exhibits yet. You can't just rock up relying on a bare defence from 2024.

You won't even be allowed to speak if you fail to do a WS. Your hearing Order second page have you and the Claimant the same deadline for WS and evidence. Did you comply?

I have sent the WS, the claimant have done theirs and both have been sent a letter to tell us the date of the hearing

Gladstone are not turning up, they have asked for hearing to be carried out in their absence. Ill be attending in person

The WS is pretty much the first faux par I did, thinking it was the defence at the time. I was helpfully corrected at the time

My argument/case is based on the poor quality of the POC and I was not the driver

Good but you are still making this assumption:

Yes they always say that but often send a legal rep, a hired gun. This is normal for them. Read some Gladstones completed case threads
