swiss air - refuse any compensation for cancelling when sat on airplane

Any advice please,12th July Swiss air cancelled their delayed  flight i was sat on waiting to depart for london gatwick. ground staff said it was because zurich airport closes at 11pm so no time for flt to get back to Zurich, they are refusing to engage now, claiming cancellation due to weather. i have photo shot of their departure board showing other flts to london tookj off,  offered 40 euro. i have contacted their arbitration 2 wks ago Schlitung but not received any confirmation from them . just wondering if anyone else has come up against swiss air

From what I can see, this is a flight operated by Helvetic Airways, not Swiss, so any claim needs to be against them.

It does look like London was hit by a fair amount of weather disruption that day
