I had two air to air split Daikin units for well over 10 years at my previous house and didn't get them serviced once. I just made sure the indoor filters were cleaned every few weeks when in use and the condenser units outside were clear and free from leaves, debris and cobwebs. By the time you get to 10 years it's probably time for new ones anyway if something goes wrong, especially considering a replacement compressor with fitting costs almost as much as a new unit. You can check for any error codes such as low refrigerant levels periodically using the remote control and then book a service if required.
