Princess Cruises Cancellation Charges

Here's a lengthier extract from the Booking Confirmation, I don't think anything still not visible is relevant to this issue. In general, shouldn't you know what minimum expenditure you will be committing yourself to before you actually do so? After all, the decision whether or not to book the cruise might be affected by that.NoodleDoodleMan said:Can't you "paint" out those bits and post the image ?

"The Future Cruise Deposit is a reduced, fully refundable deposit of $100 per person that secures a booking until final payment and gives you up to $150 Onboard Credit. Once a Future Cruise Deposit is applied to a booking, it is treated as a deposit and follows the deposit cancellation terms".p00hsticks said:I think it would be useful to see any details of how the company described your deposit when you first made it

Have you spoken with Princess Cruise admin staff at their Southampton HQ ?If so, what explanation of the cancellation fee did they provide ?0

The cancellation schedule refers to Princess Plus charges, not the whole cruise fare.0

We've not spoken to them yet. One reason for posting here was to try to establish whether we have any legitimate grounds for complaint.NoodleDoodleMan said:Have you spoken with Princess Cruise admin staff at their Southampton HQ ?If so, what explanation of the cancellation fee did they provide ?
They may say that they forgot to update the website to mention the 15% cancellation fee (we know it changed within the last year) but I'm not convinced that is a valid excuse.

No, it explicitly refers to Total Charges. Here's the booking confirmation for a different cruise which has no Princess Plus component:daveyjp said:The cancellation schedule refers to Princess Plus charges, not the whole cruise fare.
