I think the sugestions to dig out the area and put non permeable material in that area not very good ones.
We are reading more and more of flooding and fling our hands up in horror when we hear of sewerage discharges into waterways when the drainage system is under pressure.
OP is that stretch between the wall and the pavement yours,if you did decide to carry out such work.Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke1 -
For the small contained area we're talking about I'd agree with an earlier suggestion about a pressure sprayer and weed killer. 10 min job a few times a year.0
