Paying off £37065 unsecured debt by July 2027 while continuing to travel this amazing world

Your £50 budget a day sounds about right when you are away for a nice mix of enjoying yourself without blowing the budget.
We usually budget around £100 a day for the pair of us and it normally averages out about that over a trip. Some days we spend more (usually when the van is ready for a fuel top up) and some days we spend much less.1 -

Only managed to get two items uploaded to Vinted. One sold quickly and another item that I recently reduced also sold. £26.25 from recent sales should arrive later this week. That will be a nice OP alongside my minimum and snowball payments that will be paid to Very on Friday (payday!). I’d like to get Very down to £500 by December pay day, that means paying £241 (plus the interest) this month. Can I manage that? I’ve paid off £202 this salary month.Had a nice surprise from EON, my DD has been reduced by £27.91. Freezing my butt off has benefits!
Ive booked all of my excursions and entry tickets for my next trip away. One free museum entry, two walking tours (different areas and themes) and one art gallery. Total spend around £45 after currency conversion. Hotel and flights were paid for around 6 months ago. I budget £50 per day (including excursions/entry tickets), so I now have £155 left for food, internal transport and souvenirs. Easily done if I walk to most places (must not be tempted by expensive guidebooks. They are too heavy to carry and I’m taking a tiny backpack!). I’ve planned the locations of museums etc so there’s a 30 minute walk between each. That’s 15 minutes walk, coffee/lunch stop, 15 more minutes walking. Must remember my watch thingy to count my steps. With walking tours, museum, gallery and walking to and fro, that’s a lot of steps!
No trips planned for December, unless I can find a cheap flight to visit family.
also remember not to overpay mortgage; that £60 would have been better paid off Very
Well done on your first month of debt busting; considering you’ve been overpaying and managed to find the extra £600 that’s not awesome workMFW 2025 #50: £1139.75/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

More Vinted sales. A couple of parcels to post and then almost £40 should come into my account and straight to Very in the next few days. I’ve accepted an offer on an item too, but that hasn’t been paid for yet, so I’m resisting counting my chickens.
These last couple of days before pay day are dragging. This past pay month has felt like the hundred days of January. Upside is how mindful I am becoming about spending. Grocery spending has been within budget, but I’ve noticed how frequently I have to buy milk. It’s never just milk, but it hasn’t been a basket full of junk each time.
We’re on a mystery freezer dive tonight (I really should label stuff). I have a soup going in the soup maker; spinach, leeks, peppers, remnants of frozen mixed veg, two chicken thighs, back bacon, red lentils, seasoning and stock. I hope it’s edible!
Im also making a lasagne with multiple single portion pots of mince mixtures from the freezer; could be bolognaise, could be deconstructed shepherds pie, hoping it’s not chilli!
Im quite pleased about the grocery spending. I’ve fed an additional 17 year old for nineteen days during this pay month and managed to stretch my meal plans to cope with the extra mouth. There’s been an impact on my water and electricity usage too (he’s wearing my son’s clothes, so there’s extra laundry as well as showers and toiletry usage) but I’ve managed it, remained compassionate and not gone crazy in a flat heated by sweaty teenagers.MBNA 237.47/13997.47

He doesn’t have a college place, or an apprenticeship. He’s fallen down a gap that will likely hold him back for another four months. He sleeps all day and is up all night.
Couldn't contain my laughter earlier on. After a series of days working 8am to 9pm, I was shattered. I couldn’t keep my eyes open and took a nap at 2.30pm. When I got up an hour later, I woke him up and asked him to walk the dogs while I went for my Covid jab. I said “you’ve been asleep all day, you can do this for me”. His reply… “you’ve only just got up yourself”. I put him straight! I was up at 7am to get his brother out to school. I worked from home 8am-9.30am and then left the flat to get to work for 10am, and was home working again at midday. He hadn’t heard me leave or return and had caught sight of me in bed when he got up to use the loo. I found his assumption that I’d not left my bed all day hilarious.
