PPC Unsuccessful POPLA Appeal - what to do next?

Thanks Gr1pr - I had horrible visions of it being into the £300-500 range!

Interestingly I read in the BPA Code of Practice a condition which stated along the lines of, where an appellant asks for evidence (photographs) you should send it to them without hesitation.  

Obviously a copy of the signage wording isn't the same thing, but surely it should be along the same principles.

Either way, it's a weight off of my mind for now.  At the end of the day, there's not exactly a chasm of difference between £170 and £212, right?

Oh dear it looks like your appeal with POPLA was not very good at all some of those points raised were a total waste of time an effort, and if you argue a point you need evidence e.g. if the NTK was late only the parking date and the NTK issue date will be accepted.

But you have missed the obvious awful non conforming signage evidence completely, this site has nothing that conforms to the BPA COP.

The entrance signs don't conform, there is no BPA roundel, where is the warning about ANPR at the entrance etc.

But you are now in a see what happens next from these small fry operators.

Yes I understand that now - I think at the time, I just wanted to appeal from the heart since I felt the action they took was overly harsh, which is naive I know.

See I didn't know all this.  I've since read the BPA COP and admit I'm still a little cloudy over it all.

Indeed - I trust I'll be able to add all of these matters to my defence when it goes to court?  I was kicking myself just after a sent the POPLA appeal because I didn't know Google stores your timeline - and according to my movements that day, there's a significant enough discrepancy.

Well I received a Letter Before Claim from Oak Legal Services in relation to this incident.

Makes me laugh - dated 24 Jul 26 and yet it arrived on 30 Jul so I've already lost a week. Does it really take 6 days for first class post these days?

Now I've tried reading the newbie posts but there's links all over the place and I can't see any specifically for Car Parkers Anglia - and I've also been given conflicting advice (looking around online) as to whether to:

A. Dispute the claim and basically say see you in court.

or:

B. Dispute the claim with a reasoned defence as to why.

Slightly confused here in relation to the next step - any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Email the LoC response template located in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum to Oak ( you don't need the links. )

Its irrelevant who the claimant or lawyers are, just follow the process

But why on earth would the advice be specific to some small fry firm?! The firm is irrelevant. Just send the standard LoC reply.

Definitely the LBC - it came with all the forms.

I'm going to email them as advised (auditable trail and all that).

No naivety - I'm aware that if I don't respond in the 30 days from the date on the LBC they can progress the matter to court. Is that correct?
