Octopus - switched to Fixed too late?

I just switched over to the October V1 fixed tariff as it worked out about £20 cheaper per year than the August V1 tariff I was on (and of course extends the fixed period which can be valuable if anything spikes the price of gas/electricity in the next few months).  The good thing about these Octopus tariffs (for the last few months anyway) is they have no exit fees, so you can basically just switch whenever a better one comes along in a matter of seconds, for no additional cost.
