PPS - private parking solutions - Bowman Sheriff, Bath St, Nottingham, NG1 1BZ

It's been a while since I posted on here. The last time I got caught by these parking cowboys was 2020, during the covid days!
Well, here we are again...
This time from Private Parking Solutions PPS, not heard of them before but they're rated 1/5 from 180 google reviews

Anyway, I will be complaining to the landowners - safestore
with something similar to what I wrote for my 2020 PCN:
ParkingEye making me wait 28 days - Page 3 — MoneySavingExpert Forum
(This is a self-storage facility so I will voice it through their online contact form)
Will update tomorrow morning along with PCN letter minus the personal details.

We don't need to see the PCN because there's already an example in the NTK pictures thread linked in the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad, I'll leave out the PCN but here is the complaint I've drafted for the storage company:
Dear Safestore,
I am forced to make an official complaint because the actions of your agent, Private Parking Solutions, are upsetting, intimidatory and are using scare tactics to drive away your customers. You can no doubt guess that we have received a letter purporting to mimic a 'parking ticket' from PPS - and yet we knew nothing about any issues at the time when we stopped here.
It was midday and the car park was pretty much empty so we really didn't cause any losses to you nor PPS and, most importantly, we saw no signs that they claim to be set out. I would suggest that they are unclear and/or not lit nor prominent enough to communicate any time limit.
But out of the blue we have now been sent a fake parking ticket by your agents. We are now expected to have to explain our actions to a third party private company who we had no dealings with, no contract with, and who are demanding a lot of money from us - in my book that is totally unacceptable.
We are very upset and increasingly angry about this entire episode, and that you can allow such a notorious firm to harass customers on your behalf. We had no idea about any signage - or indeed any possibility of getting a 'parking ticket' - until as the registered keeper of the car, I was suddenly sent a demand by your agents.
I have researched the matter and intend to escalate my challenge against Private Parking Solutions to the independent stage (Parking on Private Land Appeals). However, I am giving you, as the landowners, the chance to quash the fake PCN once and for all because I feel you need to know that you and your agents are alienating genuine users due to PPS's zero-tolerance policy.
Private Parking Solutions will no doubt talk about their firm 'being members of the BPA Approved Operator Scheme' (in reality, merely trade body 'club membership' which enables them to buy registered keeper data and certainly does not 'regulate' their industry) I would also respectfully suggest that you should research the company you are associating with - in truth, Private Parking Solutions have a terrible online reputation and are suing customers over minor 'infringements' without referral to their clients, like yourselves, who may still naively believe that their agenda is 'parking management'.
It seems that so many clients, blinded by the idea of 'parking management for free' have fallen for the spiel of a dominant company whose agenda is profit alone. It is not 'parking management' to have cameras on site and yet no management of spaces, no attendants and no checks made of disabled bays, for example. It's pure profiteering by your agent, routinely 'farming' car parks with no consideration for individual customer needs and circumstances.
My view is that ostensibly free ANPR-led enforcement of parking spaces by a notorious and litigious third party firm using remote cameras at the entrance and exit, and a few unnoticeable signs, is completely incompatible with any professional customer service ethic.
I would welcome your own view on this harassment and hope you see fit to ensure that PPS cancel the 'ticket' forthwith.
yours,

I doubt Safestore contracted them. Whoever owns or runs the site will have.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Possibly, but it does have the Safestore sign plastered all over the gates:

Also, judging from the photo on the NTK, it does not seem to be ANPR. From the angle and how close it was taken, the photo was likely taken by a person.
Therefore it might not be worth making any mention of ANPR as the NTK does not either.0 -
Yes, if it's PPS (London) Ltd it was most likely a lurking self ticketer on foot, after a bounty.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That said, I have contacted safestore through their website (just in case they are involved as I had assumed), with the above draft minus the ANPR content.
I'll also make a start on contesting the charge on ppsappeals.co.uk using the usual blue template, which if all goes to plan, should get me the POPLA code.1 -

Here is Safestore's reply. It sounds like a lie to me, to avoid culpability. Any thoughts on how to counter this?
Good Afternoon,
I spoke with the store and they said that if you parked in our car park you wouldn’t of been charged like with all of our stores. However If you were on the opposite side of the road in the public parking you would have been charged or in the back outside of our car park you would have been but that land is owed by BT. I would maybe try and contact them as it has nothing to do with us unfortunately.
Kind Regards,
