UPDATE: I received a settlement offer of £60 from the total cost of £300+ around 2 weeks ago. I have just ignored it. The claimant has until tomorrow (April 14th 4pm) to pay their £27 trial fee to the court. Court date is scheduled for 12th May.

Is there a way to see if claimant has paid this fee.

So I called the court after the deadline of 4pm to see if they had paid their court fee. The lady on the phone confirmed that they have withdrawn their case. I haven’t had it confirmed from the claimant yet, but wanting to say thanks for all your help and advice throughout this ordeal.

UPDATE: I still haven’t received confirmation from DBC legal that they have withdrawn their claim, despite having confirmation from the court that they have withdrawn and haven’t paid the court fee by the deadline (April 14th 4pm). The court date I have is listed for the 12th May.

Email DCB Legal to ask for a copy so you can close your file, otherwise you'll attend the hearing and claim wasted costs.

Could I claim the cost for the cost of booking the day off work to attend the court date? Or is this not worth doing. They have cancelled with the court but have yet to notify me. I will be sending them a request for the discontinuation email after I post this.
