Mountain Warehouse/Evri return problem

I ordered some clothing from Mountain Warehouse. One of the items was faulty so they sent me a link to arrange a return and I printed off the pre-paid returns label. There are no Evri drop-off points anywhere near me so I ticked the box for collection. I got an email confirmation and stayed home all day but Evri didn’t turn up. I emailed Evri customer services and (after endless scripted nonsense) got a reply saying that the collection was rescheduled. Of course, Evri didn’t turn up that day either. Or the next day.
This has been going on for weeks now and I don’t know what to do. I emailed Mountain Warehouse explaining the issue but they have not responded.

Do you have a store nearby to return the item to?
Alternatively there is a contact email on the CEO email website which will very likely gain a response. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
I agree with the above. Raise a complaint through normal channels/CEO inbox.
Failing that, I would go to your nearest store with the returns information, drop it off at customer services and ask them to sign *something* to acknowledge receipt. Failing that, get some sort of evidence of proof of drop off.
You can follow the disputes process through your card provider if they do not refund after that.1
