TSB switch - cashback on 20 debit card payments per month

I switched to TSB recently for the switching payment plus the additional cashback offered on making 20 debit card payments per calendar month.
They took a while sending the PIN through the post so I didn't have much time to rack up the 20 payments for September but I thought I'd done it in time, however I have noticed that the last lot of payments (made Friday to Sunday, 27th to 29th September) have only come out of pending today and so the payment dates are showing as today, 1st October.
I guess it may be completely normal for card payments to take these few days to clear but I've never realised before with other bank accounts - in the TSB app the pending payments show at the top of the transaction list in a drop down 'Pending' list.
Before I check with TSB, has anyone else had this experience and can you confirm if the original payment date counts or is it when the payment shows as confirmed and comes out of pending?
And second question, if you don't hit the qualifying number of payments in the first month (or any subsequent one) do you still qualify for cashback in the subsequent months (as long as you make the required number of payments)?

The transaction cleared date is what matters - so yes you've missed Sept, but they should all count towards Oct. I appreciate you only just got the card but it's for this reason why I avoid doing transactions like this right at the end of the month.
And for your second question - yes. Each month is its own self-contained thing so missing one month has no impact on your ability to qualify for other months.2 -

If I'm understanding correctly, by missing the 20 payments in month one, that only leaves 5 months available in which you can qualify for triple cashback?

I converted my existing TSB account to Spend and Save around the tenth of November and have only made 16 debit card purchases since. Will they also count all those purchases I made before the tenth? I can't find anything that specifies whether they do or don't.0

Ring up this time next month, say you did the 20 transactions, they'll count em and add the fiver for you. Every time I've had a fiver missing with TSB it has been added manually very quickly.1

From memory 2 of them were due to changing between Spend & Save and Plus mid-month, and the other was because a transaction didn't clear in time due to bank hol (back in the days of 30 a month).I know there are some on here that juggle 10 Spend & Save accounts almost constantly! The most I've managed is 2 concurrently, and the last time I had any was at the start of this year.1
