But now there are no fees (for private) they aren't losing anything. I wonder if the so-called "enforcement" of off-ebay deals is going to be enhanced.

Would a pawn shop business such as CEX be interested? I would be inclined to accept a lower sum from them, providing it is not ridiculously low, knowing that you get your cash and that there will be no possibility of not as described or other claims in the future.

Does anybody in the UK refer to the church person as a Pastor? Sounded very American to me0

Well I have the item listed on Facebook Marketplace as well.
He's now contacted me through facebook saying he couldn't get through to me on eBay for some reason (because I've blocked him of course) saying he wants to come collect and pay via eBay as he needs to use his church credit card and needs an invoice etc.
I was honest - told him I wasn't comfortable with feedback he had left for others in the past.
He seemed surprised by this.
I said I was happy for him to collect and pay via Cash or Bank Transfer.
He asked if I could accept credit card.
I said no - he could use his bank statement as proof, or I was happy to sign a receipt if he wanted to create one.
He then said he wanted to come tomorrow morning. Told him Im at work so any time weekdays after 5pm or any time on the weekend.
Now he says he needed it for a project on Friday hence why he wanted to collect tomorrow morning as it's a 2 hours drive for him (from Milton Keynes to East London).
Ive left it at that - have stated my terms so rest is up to him........1 -

Are there any on Amazon?
If so, have a look at sending it to FBA. The fees are a bit higher but Amazon cover the customer service and, usually, any dodgy customer.

Just had a stroke of luck - sold to a repeat customer! ;o)
Thanks guys.5 -
Goes to show that waiting for the right customer is much better than having to accomodate an annoying one. I had one a few days ago on eBay spamming my box asking if I can split my items and trying to knock off £10, then £9 and so on £1 by £1. I just blocked and sold item two days later to a friendly buyer.

Have had buyer messaging me for this item for the past month trying to reduce the price. In the end I gave in and agreed - yet he went quiet and STILL didn't purchase!
Got sniped from right under him now, although I did take pleasure in messaging him back informing him the item had now sold1
