Looking for a cheap Mobile Broadband deal - but not Three

I’m looking for an “Unlimited” mobile broadband offer. I currently have exactly that from Three for £16/month but it’s flaky and has become impossible to use with mildly geeky things like FTP.
(I’ve checked very carefully that it is a problem with Three’s network that’s impacting me and others. Three support seem incapable of understanding let alone fixing it)
The ideal solution would seem to be something similar from EE – since I know their network doesn’t have the same issue - but they want £55/month ☹
(I know that people like 1pmobile use EE but their offers don’t seem to be designed for broadband and I’d need to buy my own router, etc.)
So I’d consider anyone but Three!

Hi peterjohnson,
There are quite a few unlimited deals here that are a lot cheaper than EE. Some of them use the EE network as well. Just be careful to check what the "fair use" limit is. A lot of them only let you use 600gb a month.
Unlimited data SIM only deals - Uswitch
As a matter of interest, could you give more details of what problems you're having with Three broadband? I'm moving house in a couple of months and was thinking about using them instead of a fixed broadband.0 -

Thanks. The issues I'm having are similar to the ones posted here https://community.three.co.uk/t5/Network/IP-address-changing-constantly-disconnects-me-from-FTP-and-my-web-hosting-panel/m-p/15481
People with more ordinary needs are likely to experience outages on random websites every few days and will need to reboot their Three router(My username is not related to my real name)0 -
I was getting unlimited data on EE for £36?0

Have you considered a used unlocked router from ebay etc and an unlimited sim (Vodafone is good in my area so I use Lebara (and Talkmobile previously - they may still have their £16 unlimited sim offer via uswitch etc).
I WFH and live rurally and this works for me. Not a gamer so ping times aren't really an issue for me0
