HSBC asked if I wanted them when closing my account in 2023.TimeLord1 said:
That's the first time I've heard that since what year was that implemented, because when I transferred all I received was a closing statement and the amount transferred some years ago now but no offer of statements.born_again said:
You get provided with 6 years' statements now when they close accounts. You should also be asked if you want statements when doing a CASS transfer.TimeLord1 said:So what happens if within the six years, you transferred or closed accounts, it would be impossible to find that information or get access.
I just got online access via a password protected link.Life in the slow lane0 -
When Tesco closed my current account (2019) they offered the last 6 years statements.TimeLord1 said:

Well I've submitted all my statements and just had a call saying they will process everything over Christmas. They said I was over the £6k between 2022 and 2024 but am only around £4k now so they don't need anything else from me for now. Said it will probably be in the new year when I hear from them about the amount of overpayment and then I can negotiate a payment plan out of my universal credit. So major panic over for now! Just have to wait and see what figure they come up with and how much its gonna hurt. How I wish I had paid off my debts instead of saving for emergencies! Never mind!:ADFW Nerd 145
