... RM tracking might show that a package was delivered to Amazon. It does not show the contents.

To clarify, are Amazon saying they have not received anything, or that an item was missing?...
    This ^^^

You need to clarify with amazon what they are saying.  Are they saying they have received nothing at all from you, or are they saying they've received a package, but it doesn't contain what it should contain?

If the former, you have tracking to prove something was delivered, but if the latter, you have no proof of what was delivered.

In previous chats Amazon told me that I would not be charged & that they had the item back.

Amazon have emailed me to say that they are charging me for an item that they did not get back. They already paid out the refund whilst item was in transit.
However, as they claim they did not get item back, they are charging my original payment method.
The issue here is that Royal mail tracking shows that the item was returned to Amazon. Have even sent them screenshots via Twitter(X) of the RM delivery status.
I have had numerous chats to Amazon "customer services" who each time say "you will not be charged for the item". Yet, email arrived today saying they are charging me!
Upon checking my credit card company account online there is sure enough a pending transaction for the cost of the item.
Clearly the Amz CServ people don't know what they are doing, so what should I do now? Any ideas? Item was £22.00
Hello apologies I know this is an old post. I just wondered whether you'd be able to share the email subject heading with me. I had this happen to my account recently and hopefully I got it sorted but I realised my husband does not check his emails from amazon so this could have happened to him without even realising so I want him to do a search of his emails with that subject heading if that makes sense?

    thank you

  • Hi.
I think the original email said as a header "you have been charged for ..." & the follow up after I complained (again) simply "a message from Amazon.co.uk"
