Do you have anything that monitors your household energy usage more accurately than the smart meter (half hourly)?

For example we have a battery system that gives us battery charge/discharge and grid load at 2 min intervals so is useful to see in general what different stuff is using (although this obviously does not differentiate all your other uses from the heat pump)
No unfortunately I only have the smart meter, which only gives a general view on consumption.
If you are with Octopus, they can supply you with a Home Mini for free. Use bottlecapdave's Home Assistant integration, and you should be able to get (I think) 10 second readings.
I have a Home Mini, but not really that impressed with it. Have been using a couple of Peacefair PZEM-016 energy monitors connected via a MODBUS->USB adaptor for several years now. The alternative is a Hildebrand Glow, but at £70, quite expensive. Has the advantage that it uses MQTT on your local network, so unlike the Home Mini, you are not reliant on the cloud.

Just found out that there is an Octopus Home Pro - It appears to be a Home Mini on steroids with the ability to run python scripts. Bottlecapdave's HA integration supports this new device without having to fetch data from an Octopus server. I've sent a request to Octopus to see if I can get my hands on one.

My home mini was due to be delivered yesterday - unfortunately it appears that RM have delivered it to someone else. Photo of 'safeplace' is not mine (I was here anyway) and the tracking shows it 20 miles away, so I can't even ask in the village!

How does one apply for the home mini or pro (or for that matter get octoplus stuff)?  I have just moved to Octopus but can't see the options on the website.  Thanks
    I think....

If you get a Home Mini, you'll need to enable geolocation so that the Octopus app can complete the pairing (I suspect the Pro might be the same). I had to install another app to fake geolocation as my android tablet doesn't do it by default.
