Guttering stop end overflowing

Good job cleaning out the downpipe as it looks like it's been blocked/ leaking on the 45 bends.
If it's still over-toping on the other end you run out of options if the ends are glued on. I'd be cleaning the internal surface (where it's been cut down) and glueing a plastic patch on the inside with copius amounts of white stixall. That guttering is some of the best size wise for capacity though so if the downpipe is clear it may never get as high as the cut out
Obviously check the downpipe on the garage too looks like one of the white fascia panels have slid out a bit putting some pressure on the outlet to pipe joint.

Thanks. Yes, was looking at patching it up with maybe a shaped piece of acrylic or something.Lorian said:Good job cleaning out the downpipe as it looks like it's been blocked/ leaking on the 45 bends.

Now I know it's just silicon bunged in there, I can try and clean it up. It's just too unsafe to get above even with a stand off so I'm reaching up and over.
Well spotted with the fascia panel shifting out. Hadn't noticed that.

If you can get a double cup, suction lifter, attach that to fascia panel and try and move back into place.Failing that give the lifter gentle taps with a hammer.1

Had a look and it's these that are fitted:Lorian said:I'm guessing that's a 'craftsman' made encap

I've cut and shaped some alloy sheet
but it's easier to stick this on the outside of the stop end.
Have clipped the neighbour's one back on which gives more room to work.
I'm using Instant Nails as I have some already.

It didn't work on the outside with Instant Nails. Just wasn't setting and probably isn't waterproof.
I've now stuck it on the inside with exterior sealant which seems to have done the job.

There are two types of grab adhesive (Instant Nails - Other brands available). Solvent free, which is for internal use. And then one with solvents - This one is recommended for exterior use, and can also be used internally. Exterior grade sealants can also be used where a part isn't under any load, so for an end cap, it will be just fine.danrv said:It didn't work on the outside with Instant Nails. Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
