Mozilla bleedin Firefox or Firebird or whatever

I'm sick of hearing about it..

Help help, my internet explorer is playing up
Download Mozilla Firefox

Help help does anybody know a free pop-up blocker?
Download Mozilla Firefox

Help Help i've got a virus which has changed my homepage
Download Mozilla Firefox

Why can't people answer the problems that people are having and then suggest Firefox as an alternative? Everytime somebody has a problem with IE somebody just tells them to download another browser rather than helping them with the problem.

If i had tit's it'd be getting on them

I've never posted a queston about IE, because I have in-house technical help which has solved problems in that area - or I've done it myself. But I have had the Mozilla Firefox mantra quoted at me ad nauseam by my sons. And I have started using it for most web browsing, BUT there's a few sites even the new version doesn't work properly with. Usually anything involving money - banks, supermarkets etc.

So I agree with S-G, help with solving the actual problem would be useful as well as suggesting trying an alternative.

I have BTBroadband with all the so called thrills and to back that up I am running Mcafee Virus, Fire wall and spam killer etc - this I download from a certain site with the reg code which allowed me to register it and get downloads. I also have Spy sweeper which I run on a regular basis to clear any advertising junk.

Never heard of the software you talk about ?

Mozilla Firefox is an Open Source (ie free) web browser, much loved by Linux lovers. It behaves in a very similar way to IE, as far as I can see, better in some respects, but not all sites interface with it seamlessly ...

A lot of the time there isn't an easy solution for problems with IE. And using Firefox DOES actually avoid a lot of these problems.

One of the worst ones was where somebody had a virus which resulted in !!!!!! sites appearing in Favourites and the homepage changing...

What was a solution? use Firefox. Leave the virus there and use a different browser ???

    Savvy,

There are threads about your website questions on the Techie Board somewhere. I'm not sure if they're under the "Security" or "Other questions" threads (both stickies at the top of the board).

    Cos,
There is plenty of info about Mozilla there too.

    S_G,
If you feel angry about this.....

DOWNLOAD MOZILLA FIREFOX, then it'll all be fine!!

    ;D
    Torgwen.......... :) ...........
  • I recently downloaded Mozilla (cos I kept hearing how good it was!).

I must admit ther are some features I do like (tabs for example) but there are quite a lot of sites that only work well with IE.

All in all I would say there is not a lot to choose between them
