How to change address on passport / driving licence?

So 

My passport is in date and everything but I've got an older address on it. Is the only way to address this to reapply for a new passport perhaps?

Does anyone know of a cheap way to change the address on my passport and my driving licence? I'd like them both to match

Your passport doesn't have an address on it.

You change your driving licence just use https://www.gov.uk/change-address-driving-licence and hit the Start Now near the bottom of the article

At the back, on the "emergencies" page you can add names and addresses of people to contact in an emergency. If these change you can just put a sticker over the old address and write the new address on that

Your passport doesn't have an address on it.

You change your driving licence just use https://www.gov.uk/change-address-driving-licence and hit the Start Now near the bottom of the article

Just double checked and it appears you're correct. I should have checked that first

Indeed. Though I should have checked that. I thought it mentions the address but it doesn't

And if you own a vehicle, make sure that the address is also up to date on the V5C document as well - updating the licence doesn;t automatically update that

Thanks. I've now updated my licence. Shall get the V5 updated. Tbh it's not the end of the world given it will just go to my parent's address. I used their address as my "permanent address" for years whilst I was renting mostly for the sake of my credit score

You can be fined up to £1k if you don’t inform DVLA of change of address. So both licence & V5 need changing.

The requirement is they are registered to an address you are contactable at. The OP says the old address is their parent's home so unless there has been a major falling out its unlikely they'd be fined

Basically this. I go there every two weeks. I got my address changed and a replacement licence issued
