Both Ryanair and On the Beach refusing to issue a refund.

Hi all,
I am really hoping someone could help me out with this as I am at my wits end with both companies.
This Monday - 23 September, our flight from Alicante to Newcastle was delayed by over 5 hours. It was originally meant to depart at 12:00 and ended up leaving at past 9pm, meaning we are at the airport for over 11 hours in total.
At around 17:00 we received an email from Ryanair saying that as the flight had been delayed by over 5 hours, we were entitled not to travel and request a refund.
This is where I probably made a mistake. The trip had been booked for 6 people through On the Beach. While the other five decided to wait it out and took the original flight, I decided to book a new flight direct to London (I was originally intending to get a train to London after the flight to Newcastle anyway), and claim a refund at a later date (approx GBP 350 for the flight).
Since then:
1. Ryanair are refusing to issue a refund as they say that as the package holiday was organised by On the beach, On the beach need to claim the refund themselves on my behalf.
2. On the beach are refusing to claim for that refund on my behalf and are telling me to take it up directly with Ryanair.
Both are live chat services and I have no way of speaking with anyone directly. I have sent them both evidence of the delayed flight, everything they need etc but they both just end up closing the chat.
I really don't want to be 350 pounds out here. To make it worse my friends have already successfully claimed compensation from Ryanair for the delay alone, which apparently I am also not entitled to because I didn't take the return flight.
Does anyone have any advice/experience on this?

Flights, hotel and transfers as part of one purchase I think.0

Did you tell anyone of your intentions? It sounds like you may have just be classed as a no-show on the return flight.0

Yes, of course I did. I had checked in and passed security for the Ryanair flight. I then went to the Ryanair desk and told them I wasn't boarding as I'd elected to cancel due to the five hour window. They told me I should request a refund when I got home within two weeks of the flight.Westin said:Did you tell anyone of your intentions? As you booked through a Third party (On The Beach) then you have to claim through them and not Ryan Air direct.jonny1403 said:Hi all,
