Help? Can a dyson hair straightener from US work in UK? Dyson saying not due to voltage difference?

In fairness to Dyson, the advice is probably because of possible liability if the device caused harm or a fire. I have a dyson cleaner and I was so impressed by the after sales service of regular emails to remind me how to care for it to prolongue its life.

Someone buys a second hand item in a charity shop that's electrical and originated from abroad and people are criticizing Dyson CS for not giving a caveat on a telephone enquiry? Bit harsh.3

If both the product and charger are genuine Dyson items then you'll be fine.
Universal voltage chargers are pretty much the norm these days and will work correctly both sides of the pond.
Just don't leave it charging when you go out and if Dyson have a checker, put in the serial number to see what it says.0
