    Thanks everyone.
I'm thinking Sri Lanka and Cuba will be too many pennies but Crete may be worth a look.

Thanks for your thoughts, I really appreciate the help.

When are you (they) thinking of going? As i was thinking it would be soon, as in January.
As if so, you have to remember that places like Crete are generally pleasently warm, but it's not exactly sun-tan weather there at this time of year.

Whereas for example the temperature in somewhere like Cuba at the moment is around 22-30C depending on the area (water warm enough to swim in etc.).

I am taking it from the below that the honmeymoon is in march. How about mexico? I am planning a trip there this march and it seems to have lovely mayan ruins as well as wonderful beaches. I am guessing you want to get them an all inclusive trip, in that case it might be a ittle over budget.

I think you are right to go for a 14 day trip, they are often very little more than 7 days ( all inclusives are usually 7 or 14 days) For a honeymoon on that budget, I think you will get the best value for money by far in egypt, so you will be able to get them a better quality hotel which will make a fuss of them as honeymooners.

If they want to do sightseeing, they would be better off to be based in luxor rather than the red sea, so you may wish to consider a twin centre holiday one week on the red sea for the beaches and then a week long nile cruise ( really much more convenient than road travel as avoids early starts and all the sites are on the nile anyway)- there can be some great value deals around and the egyptian temples really are beautiful.
  • Thanks everyone.

Yasmin05>> Turkey not a favourite I'm afraid as they've been there before on a normal holiday. Thank you so much for the info though and offer of help.

Boufje>> Mexico is over the budget unless we send them to a cheap one and I'd rather not do that for their honeymoon. Not sure they'd be best pleased to arrive at a ramshackle hotel with the walls falling down!!

A 2 centre holiday to Egypt is looking favourite although it does push the price up somewhat. I'll need to speak to the groom I think and find out how important each aspect of their wish list is. I've found a lovely 5 star hotel in Sharm which has great reviews on holidaysuncovered.co.uk and I may go with that for 10 days. I'm thinking perhaps the bride and groom can pay for excursions if they want them. They've got an overnight stay to see the pyramids for ust over £125 each so they may do that .. won't be so tiring then I'm thinking.

Anyway thank you all very much for your help.
