Wireless range of Nest thermostat, will it go through 3 solid block walls?

I'm looking to get a Nest thermostat to replace the rather archaic thermostat I currently have. The boiler is in the garage and the current thermostat is in a hallway about 10m and 3 solid block walls away. It uses RF and has always had a solid connection back to the receiver in the garage.
I'm not really sure what Nest uses to communicate with the Heatlink, but I think it's much higher frequency compared to RF so I'm worried it won't be able to communicate?
Can anyone shed some light on this please?
Thanks.

There is a single skin block wall and a double skin brick/block wall between my nest and boiler and it connects perfectly well.1
