Claim Form - DCB Legal/Euro Car Park

Hi, just after some help if possible. I have just recently received a Claim Form through for DCB Legal (via Euro Car Parks) looking to claim £320:00 from me. This was due to a non payment of parking at a store in May 2020.
I have had several letters from various firms and to be honest I have ignored but this looks like this does need to be responded too as via court etc
For my part the car parking fee involved was 20p & from what I can remember as this was the height of the Covid-19 lockdown pandemic I am 99% sure the machine was not accepting coins and I called the telephone no. on the machine but it was just a recorded message stating that due to the pandemic the office was closed.
Any help at this stage v much appreciated.

Post the issue date from the top right of the claim form

Post a redacted picture of the POC on the bottom left of the claim form, hiding the VRM details and hiding the rest of the claim form too

Read several other ECP DCB Legal claim threads on here, and study the newbies sticky thread in announcements, second post, plus the first few paragraphs in the defence template thread too
  • Hi the issue date is 18 Sept '24 below is the POC

Hi the issue date is 18 Sept '24...

With a Claim Issue Date of 18th September, you have until Monday 7th October to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 21st October 2024 to file a Defence.
That's almost four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Just use the Template Defence as you see in all the other DCB Legal / Euro Car Parks claims at the moment.

They are litigating a huge batch. We have 2 or 3 exact match threads like yours each day, so go back and scroll through the forum to read a good half dozen or more. Learn how people worded their paragraph 3. Copy!

Very easy to see these claims off. No hearing needed. DCB Legal will discontinue in 2025.

Proceed as per the newbies sticky thread plus the 12 steps in the defence template thread

Mediation is now compulsory,  just take the phone call,  5 minutes of NO OFFER,  NO COMPROMISE

Eh? Why would you cancel and be considered unreasonable? It's a three minute call!  You don't do any prep for it, despite what they say.

This stage is covered with two links in the first 12 steps of the Template Defence thread. Please re-read those first 12 steps.

Well it's not your hearing fee is it?! Don't go paying their fee!

You should be more prepared: just follow the advice in the NEWBIES thread about WS and evidence stage, which is where you are at.

And check your junk emails daily for DCB Legal's discontinuance of course!

Hi, just had a settlement offer from DCB - reducing fine by £90  - as court date set for 22nd May.
I presume the advice is to do nothing & see if they pay the court fee due on the 8th May ?
