Undercharged for Water

I have recently had a call from my water company advising that i have a credit of over £300 on our account which was odd. I live in a house with me, my wife and 2 children but Anglia Water advised that we are only using the amount of water a single person would be using. We had someone come round and take a meter reading so everything is above board.

I have today looked on the app and our estimated water usage is 0 and we are over £50 in credit again, how many times do i have to keep calling them?

It may be that the meter is broken and so isn't registering anything properly.  Until they sort that out then there's little you can do about it. Or maybe you are all just frugal with water.

I didn't realise that our meter wasn't working and that the bills just had estimates on them.  Didn't know that was a thing and that it only happened with gas and electric.  Turns out our meter stopped working 18 months back so they refunded the payments made over that time and about 4 months later replaced the meter.  I assume it's working but as it's not accessible I don't know.  I'll be interest to see what's on the next water bill which we should get in the next month.
