A friend has received a PCN after he drove to pick his disabled mother up from Elliots Field Retail Park in Rugby. She is disabled and has a blue badge and has trouble walking so he deliberately parked slightly to one side to give themselves plenty of room helping her in. He has now received the below: No mention of POFA despite being a BPA Member. Standard blue text I imagine?

Has something changed as I have noticed a lot of PCNs not using POFA anymore?

The keeper should follow plan A first in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, the keeper complains about the PCN to the retail park management team or landowner, citing the Equality Act 2010 , add a redacted picture of the blue badge, to get the PCN cancelled 

If its not cancelled by day 26 , appeal using the blue text template, adding the Equality Act and the blue badge details into the footnote, with proof 

For now, no blabbing about who was driving

That NTK is POFA-worded (except it doesn't seem to invite the keeper to pay it but arguably,  that is implied by sending a charge).

Interesting that they can make this operation work for a discount of more than 50%. Thanks for the image which I'll add to the NTK pictures thread.

I warned my friend that the trick was to be tough and patient. Don't give them any information. Go through the processes described here and there's a 98% chance you will beat them. He lasted two days and has said he is going to pay it! Lol

In fairness he has a good job, is going through a divorce and his mother has a heart condition and was stressing about it.

I agree. Sadly I have enough of my own battles to fight without taking on someone else's when their heart isn't in it....
