All your advice says ignore QDR but can they bring my partner to court without his knowledge?
Not unless he moves house within 6 years and doesn't tell them his new address (which he obviously would need to do).

We haven't opened the link in QDR email received last week so have no idea what it says.

You can open it. Perfectly safe & normal.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thank you so much for all your help. I actually feel a massive weight has lifted of my shoulders.
So, he can ignore them and if they do eventually contact me I can deal with it as I know they can not provide any proof of parking.
Once again thank you so much.

F.Y.I. New scam alert - my friend has literally just received a text asking to pay a PCN. She doesn't own a car but has a legit parking app for when guests stay at her airbnb. The link is to a very realistic gov.uk looking site.  They are called parkingzo.top.  They must be very new as they don't even come up in a google search.
I will start a new thread on here to warn others.

No need for a thread.  The text scam is well known. But glad to have reassured you about the QDR letter.

Keep them updated if he moves.

Come back if he gets a claim.
