I didn't mean the OP shouldn't have posted his/her name!

I meant that shops should not be mentioned as having been mystery shopped! This is against confidentiality rules and applies to all mystery shopping companies.

I am a mystery shopper for both Retail Eyes and DQM (https://www.dqm-web.com) and after 12 months I am about £400, better off. Of course I declare everything that I earn to the tax-man, but don't forget that the following :-
    1) you are entitled to claim 40 pence per mile for the first 10,000 miles that you do on company business, tax free even if you don't get travelling expenses. This means that if you drive 5 miles to the shops you are entitled to £2.00 of your earnings tax free.
    2) If you have to pay parking or toll expenses claim that back (keep the tickets).
    3) If you don't drive, keep the tickets from your bus and train fares and claim them back.
These are all legititimate expenses incurred on company business and hence you don't have to pay tax.

Here is an example of how you can use the system to its best effect.
I have to drive 15 miles to a pub. I am allowed as a mystery shoppper £20 max to spend and I spend £18.00 on a meal. The company pay me £5 for the shop and £18.00 expenses for the meal

    Total Pay = £5 + £18.00 = £23.00
    Total Tax Free = 15 X £0.40 (£6) + £18.00 = £24.00
Hence the Tax Man owes me £1 tax free for next time.

Due to this extra work I do I keep a spreadsheet with the jobs, the mileage incurred and any extra expenses and make sure the tax man gets the least amount of money from me. If you work it right you avoid (legal) paying tax on most of the money and don't get done for evasion (illegal).

The password is case sensitive so double check that, make sure you use capitals where needed.

Waste of time i'm afraid, I joined with the same company nearly a year ago, they never actually have any stores avaliable, I will be shocked if anyone gets to do a mystery shop. In my opinion it's a scam to get your details onto a database! Steer clear.

Oh dear! I tried to register with them yesterday but didn't receive any confirmation from them. When I tried to register again it said my email was already registered, but I hadn't put in any password, so I clicked on "forgotten password" but still not heard back from them.

I sucessfully registered last week but it won't let me access the site to see what stores are available. Given the speed they came back to say I was acecpted it must be automatice acceptance, no-ones actually reading what you write to see if you are suitable. I emailed them last thursday abotu accessing the site but still haven't heard back from them, can't say I am at all impressed with them so far. I would tend to agree and say it's a scam:mad:
