  • i  see people 'only' paying between 1.5- 2k a year.. mine is £2364 for dual which i think is nuts,,( 150 per month for electric and 47 per month for gas)

    Ouch! I pay £1,250 a year for a 3 bed detached house. Mind you, I have an air source heat pump and I live alone.
    If in doubt... do nowt.

    Finally, don't forget any referral bonuses and the customer service reputation.  British Gas and Scottish Power are rated the worst by 'Which?'.
    Sometimes that can work to the customers advantage.Last year I got a £100 goodwill payment and two payments of £30 which I presumed was for late production of a bill.Not a bad percentage/return when compared to how much I was owed.
