How soon after leaving Sky do you qualify as a new customer?

I currently have Sky Q and have been out of contract since the end of April.  I quickly moved away from Sky for Broadband but stuck with the TV as I really like the interface and everything being in one place.  I have just been advised my subscription is increasing so I will be paying £36.50 for signature + £8 for Netflix + £15 for multi room so £59.50 a month.  as a new customer I can get the same package for £36.50 so £23 cheaper.  I'm pretty tired of having to keep renegotiating so this time I am prepared to leave if I don't get the new customer price.

I have an old Humax Freesat recorder that works well but unfortunately catch up no longer works as it's no longer supported as they don't supply freesat boxes any more.  That's no hardship as I can buy a new freesat recorder.  Netflix I can subscribe to separately so that leaves the issue of multi room but I have a smart TV in the bedroom so again I don't see much problem though I'm curious to know if freesat do an multi room box like sky?  (I don't have an aerial as reception is not great where I live)

The only Sky channels I am likely to miss are Sky Showcase and Sky Atlantic.  If I decide I miss the easy interface too much does anyone know how long is it after leaving before you are classed as a new customer?

TIA
