Hi folks.
I wonder if I could ask for your experience and recommendations. We have a GSHP with vertical boreholes and UFH throughout the house. The installer is recommending a yearly annual service. Having had it done once, it seems to me to be checking filters and concentrations, topping up levels and the like. Given how often old fashioned systems were checked - i.e. never until boiler wobbled - this seems a bit heavy to me.
Any experience, thoughts, etc. particularly from those who actually install/maintain these systems?
Most appreciated in advance.

Most annual services are done yearly!
Why wouldn't you want it done?
Is it a new installation?
Warranty?
It's a good idea to check filters more than once a year, especially when you turn the heating on after the summer, ask me how I know!

Every heating system I've ever had, mains gas, oil and biomass have been serviced annually.
The warranty depends on it, and if there is a problem it's the easiest way to demonstrate good condition to the insurance company.0 -
if your GSHP also heats a pressurised (unvented) hot water cylinder then you are supposed to have that serviced annually.Reed0
