Check Mate The Matrix on TikTok, concerning credit card debts being passed onto a collection agency, sending them a SAR letter to clear or reduce the debt?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Can any one suggest the best way forward to reduce the debt owing, what is the best way to approach them. I understand that I owe them but would like to see if there is any opportunity to negotiate a overall reduction that is manageable to repay.
You can offer them a payment plan based on what you can afford. But that does not reduce the debt. Best post a SOA on debt board, for some advice.
Some may offer a settlement figure, but that will be further down the line. Even then they may not offer one & just go for a CCJ.Life in the slow lane0
