Indeed it can and probably will be cross checked with the credit agencies and details you entered on other applications etc.TheBanker said:

It’s just I don’t fit into any of their categories.
I exist & don’t at the same time.
I’m a carer, so low income. But interest gives me a fine income.
Am I employed, self employed or what. income from savings, due to house sale.
I’m registered to vote but don’t pay council tax, or utility bills.
I keep 5 bank accounts just in case.
I give banks and credit card companies the same answers.
Its not been an issue for the last 11 years.
