Cost floor

Hi looking for some info on the cost floor rule I understand it lasts for 15 years in my case as I have the preserved right to buy my question is once that expires which is 2026 will the full weight of the discount be applied to the property or do they still have to cover the costs of building the property
I have asked my social housing landlord for the current cost floor price and what my discount would be but they wont tell me

Whatever the rules are now the Gov will almost certainly change them before 2026 as they have promised to overhall the RTB scheme.

I'm no expert on this, but I suspect getting those numbers would involve a chunk of work for your landlord, so they might not do it in response to an informal enquiry.
Maybe you could make make a formal application to buy, then they'd have to provide the numbers - and I believe you can then choose to withdraw.
I don't think that withdrawing has any downsides - for example, I don't think it stops you from applying again.
But like I say, I'm no expert on this, so maybe check that first.
