    OK received my court date in the post yesterday, not due until 2026.  Then, an email from DCB containing the Notice of discontinuance arrived today!  So that's that and many hours of mine and other peoples time wasted.

    Thanks to everyone that helped me out, especially @Coupon-mad

    Do you need anything else from me in terms of what actually happened?
