Ford Car finance claim

Hi, I had a PCP on a ford taken out in 2020, following MSE advise i forwarded the MSE email onto Ford who eventually came back to me basically saying they couldn't say either way if i had had a finance agreement with them and i had 6 months to complain to the Ombudsman from Fords email otherwise the finance Ombudsman wouldn't have Fords permission to consider my complaint.
I need to sort this in the next week if i am to forward my complaint onto the ombudsman.
My question is has anyone else received this sort or email and do i need to contact the ombudsman ?

DCA complaints are suspended at the moment and the FOS will not look at them until the FCA review has been completed. The good news is that the 6 month timebar has also been suspended as well. So, Ford Credit cannot enforce the standard 6 months. (I assume you mean Ford Credit rather than Ford - although if you sent it to Ford rather than Ford Credit then it may explain why they cant find it).
You could also give Ford Credit a copy of the agreement or statements etc from your own files. That will help them trace it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). It seems highly unlikely they don't have any data if it was taken out in 2020 as it would only have ended last year - are you sure it was through them?
