Morning all
First shop for Oct so had to buy a few staples.
Called in to Tesco as I prefer their cling film, also bought foil and found some YS strawberries for .74 per 227g punnet, so bought 3. Straight in the freezer when I got home. Will hull from frozen and mix in with the free blackberries and just simmer for a few minutes when needed 😊
Also YS granary wholemeal for £1.05
Rest of the shopping in Lidl’s.
Stocked up on their 50% off on apples, other fruit and veg, free range chicken and general staples.Eggs from the farm £6.50 for a tray
Total spent so far £59.21/£300
Good luck everyone for the month 😊

£6.75 spent at Tesco. Paid in cash so at least I can see what I'm spending top up money on. Today was soya yogurt, normal yogurt, bread and some other bits and bobs.Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6006

Needless to say, the L!dls shop came in at more than I'd hoped, at £66.40. But that was because it included a couple of items I've never spotted there before but have been paying more for at W8rose. So it's all good - I hope!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

Hi everyone.
£9.84 spent in Tesco today on random bits.
£10.30 left in the budget for this week.
I only really need milk, possibly some fruit.
I will probably pop into Aldi or Lidl later in week for them.
I'm still hoping to try and run the freezer down.Decluttering campaign 2023

Day 1, shaken out DH for the receipt after his trip to Asda for the milk and carrots. Carrots go bad so quickly that I buy them loose or just 500g bags. He checked the yellow stickered section. Not sure why he added a kilo and a half of bananas for 58p or UPF bread rolls 25p when he made a loaf yesterday. I can use the green beans 36p. Now I have to make something with the extra bananas.

Morning everyone. Our Tesco order arrived last night and was a total of £83.34. I had intended to only spend £60 but I checked my Clubcard account and was reminded I had a £15 off £100 coupon to use several times over the next two weeks. My total was already creeping up towards £70 anyway so I decided to add on a few items that will help get us through the rest of the month. Essentially the coupon paid for the £16 bottle of olive oil that we needed to buy anyway. Olive oil prices have skyrocketed the past year as everyone knows.
I also bought a small gammon to boil and roast so we can use that to slice. Instead of buying expensive packets of ham, I wanted to try doing it ourselves to see how we fare.
£97.96 / £325.00 spent. £227.04 remaining
COOKING PLAN FOR THE NEXT WEEK
In vague order. I’ll also be away today, returning tomorrow (Thursday) evening so there will be some easy meals this week.
- Tesco Ham Mushroom Mascarpone Pizza & salad
- Baked broccoli cheese and chicken breast pasta + salad
- Baked white fish en papillote with capers and lots of butter, rice and roasted veg
- Tuna + white bean salad
- Chocolate almond flour banana bread (frozen mashed bananas in the freezer)
Tesco were out of strawberries so I didn’t get those in our order. And I forgot to order garlic! We’re down to just a few cloves. I’ll buy some at M & S on Friday when I’m on the high street. Shopping list for Friday: strawberries, parsley, capers, garlic, brown onions (Tesco were out), and possibly bananas. Oh and mouthwash. After that I'll close my purse for a bit.
Right, back to work. Have a good hump day everyone!

"Hump day"? 🤣 Reminds me of the time our cat started a very embarrassing habit so I looked up "humping cats" on google to try and find a cure. 🫣I was very surprised at what came up. 🤯🤣😂
£14.00 spent today in Aldi on cereal, juice, eggs, onions carrots. Bought extra onions as they were on offer. Also treated myself to a ready made wrap. It was no better than I could have made myself so that will teach me!
Recieved a tesco voucher for £18.00off a £120.00 shop. Need to work out if its worth my while. Might think of what food gifts I can give at Christmas that will not come out of grocery budget.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
