Replacing Outside Wall Light Bulb

Hi. I have an outside wall light where the bulb has failed and I need to replace it. I've looked at it but I can't see any obvious way to open it up. I can't see any screws. I've also checked online but without success
Perhaps I've been looking in the wrong place? Hopefully it's simple and I've just been a fool LOL!!

Have you looked very closely at the top and bottom?Tried a Google-images search, and then looked at the installation instructions of similar models?Tried gently-firmly pushing the cover straight up? (running out of ideas...)0

It looks like it is a Philips Calgary LED Light. The manual here shows that there are two screws (one at the top and one at the bottom):

The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
I haven't tried the "pushing" idea. I will give that a go.
I'll also try an image search.
Thanks.0 -
Thanks for that. I had a look and couldn't see any screws but will look again. They must be very small.tacpot12 said:It looks like it is a Philips Calgary LED Light. The manual here shows that there are two screws (one at the top and one at the bottom):

There might be plastic caps over the screws to protect them from the weather.1

It is possible that the fitting doesn't contain a user replaceable lamp, I had some Philips fittings like that. I purchased and kept them for too long before fitting and didn't realise. Fitted them anyway and, touch wood, have worked without faultSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

Non user replaceable? That's crazy.Kiran said:It is possible that the fitting doesn't contain a user replaceable lamp, I had some Philips fittings like that. I purchased and kept them for too long before fitting and didn't realise. Fitted them anyway and, touch wood, have worked without fault
Just to add, we didn't fit the light - it was done by the previous owner ages ago.0 -
I know, its a bit mad. I presume the thought process is the life of an LED lamp is a fitting that does 25000 hours is 10 or so years given the anticipated amount of time it would be on for. If I had seen it before buying I probably would have chosen something else but they do the job and should still have life in them.westv said:

Just double checked the base. I can't see any sign of a screw or a cover.
I'm not sure how old it is. We have been here 9 years but it's not been working for, a guess, 5.
Yes, I know. One of those jobs that can always be done "tomorrow"
At risk of stating the obvious, how do you get the bulb replaced?0
