Universal credit - help!!.

Options
I've just switched over to uc from tax credits and legacy benefits and my award is a whole £21 a month 😯
Something must be wrong as I was supposed to get transitional protection. I don't have a job outside the home as I'm a carer for four disabled family members so I thought our money should be the same.
Where is the best place to find advice for this? I see there's a site called turn2us but i've never used it before and I'm a bit wary of filling in my personal details on a site I don't know.
🤔

Benefits calculators like turn to us are safe to use and you do not input any personal information like name, address etc anyway.
If you applied for universal credit after receiving a migration notice you shud gave received transitional protection. We didn't but i left a note in my journal and it was fixed in a few days

@Britannia12345 Can you clarify just which legacy benefits you are talking about here?
ie. Was it only Carers Allowance, which is not migrated to UC but continues to be paid seperately (and what you get paid for CA is then deducted from UC payments)?
Or were there other, Income Related, benefits too which would migrate to UC, such as Housing Benefit or IR ESA?
PS. Have you had your first UC Statement, or UC payment yet?.

Sounds like first UC statement was issued without all actions having been completed and therefore until these have been fully completed by UC, you won't receive the correct payment due.

Suggest calling the UC helpline 0800 328 5644 and ask them to send action to the Case Manager in the Service Centre to check the claim to ensure any actions outstanding are completed.

Check your online claims payment statement under the payment section of the Home page. Anything missing?
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
