Octopus fixed tarrif, do I need a smart meter?

Aghhhhhhh

I had an email about the offer of a fixed tarrif. I have emailed but they are closed now until Monday, I worry I may miss the deal.

Does anyone know where it will show me if I will need a smart meter? I want to avoid one if I can fit a number of reasons.

I’m with Octopus and don’t have a smart meter 

I am on a fix and can change my tariff online 

Wasn’t there a link in the email you could choose ? 

Check if the fix has an exit fee, most don’t

You should be able to find the terms and conditions somewhere.  But usually if anything is mentioned it'll be that you agree to allow them to fit one, rather than it actively requiring you to have one to go onto the tariff.  And in many parts of the country, people who do want a smart meter are finding it difficult to get an appointment, so it may not be very likely Octopus get round to trying to enforce the condition before the fix ends.

Not required for fixed single rates, but if you are still on all electric you could well be better off on one of their smart tariffs.

It wasn't on any of the links or info. Just said what a smart meter is. I have been able to swap to a fix now and don't need a smart meter.
