On July  24th Startline Motor Finance advised me

We can confirm that a DCA was in place and as such we have logged your complaint. You should also have received an acknowledgement for this complaint.

Further paragraph states

While you will not receive a response to your complaint until 25th September 2024 at the earliest, you may receive updates after 4 and 8 weeks as part of our complaint handling process but you do not need to do anything in respect of these updates.

Pardon my misunderstanding with all the recent changes their stating until the 25th of this month , or 4 to 8 weeks  bit confused I know I heard things have been changed till next year but I have had no correspondence  advising me of the new changes by Startline

Cheers

There's nothing to be updated on. Until the FCA review is complete the matter remains on hold.
  • Okay thanks for the response

basically for now is to  forget about it and maybe one day get a pleasant surprise ,

  • Hi - looking for some info on eligibility dates.

I had assumed I couldn't claim as I bought the car in March 2021, however an article in this week's (November 25) Daily Mail suggested that the ruling applied to any car bought in the ;last 17 years.

The FCA outlawed DCA in January 2021.  You won't have DCA.
