if your income is under £25k something for a single person, £28k if you had dependents I think.

Depending on your income you may get full funding or some funding (usually almost all) the OU will top -up if your degree is more than £765 (i think) then if you get some funding you get another £200

  • OH cool got you... but if I wanted to do something like debt counselling for the CAB or something what other courses would be useful?

the one you are doing, plus something like social science

for that course you would get Cert Soc Sci (Open) after your name too ;)

you won't get government funding if you have 1 degree already I don't think.

"Most of our financial support is for people who do not already hold a qualification at degree level, but if you are studying for a second degree because you need to retrain in your career, you may still be eligible for a financial award to help you achieve this"

Weirdly enough I had just spotted that one! lol! Would I have to do the open mathematics one to do the social sciences one or could I do that one after the money one? I like the sound of Sarah Giles Cert Soc Sci (Open) though ;)
