we wouldn't get the childcare element as we'd both have to be working at least 16 hrs. Know what you mean about the afternoons too... hmm..Remember if you pay for any extra time you will get extra Tax credits too, childcare element usually covers about 70% in my experience....
Personally i'd go for afternoons, more time at home to wake up, get girls ready and less rushing about. (dare i say time to update the diary/start the daily chat thread etc!)Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I have always opted for morning sessions for nurserys and playgroups, because I found afternoons tied up the whole day. At least if they go on a morning you have the rest of the day free without being tied to a time.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Oh to be as sensible as you Mrs S!!!
What about a combination of both mornings and afternoons, variety is the spice of life!
It's good that Ashli isn't clingy as that is a killer, generally Erin wasn't like that either but she had her days and it breaks your heart, especially if you are rushing to leave them for work.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Hi IA, need to ask you a favour. I haven't posted on your thread before but I read it everyday, it's just like a real life soap!
Anyway I remember ages ago when Ste changed jobs you posted a link to a site that calculates how much tax, NI you pay depending upon your salary. Please can you post a link to that site again? Cheers.

Would it be worth you working for 16 hours to get the extra tax credits? My niece is the same age as Ash (also called Ashleigh actually) and she can't wait to go to school either. Little tyke is driving her mum round the twist! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Well say if Ash did 2 full days it'd be £130.56 a month... and K doing the same days would be £284.75 a month :eek:Would it be worth you working for 16 hours to get the extra tax credits? so £415.31 a month.childcare...
I could do the same 2 full days and my usual saturday which would be 20 hours a week.... at min wage that would be 5455.80 a year/£454 a month...
which according to entitledto would give us £147 a week in tc...so £588 a month (based on a 4 week month...)
 That's for 2 full days a week and my normal saturday...
