So glad K is sleeping better - the controlled crying thing always worked for mine too! How long are you staying at Argos?

I'm with you on the Potty Training! DS is an early Feb birthday but starts nursery the same time as Ash. He is a very stubborn Aquarian who seems to have decided he isn't doing toilets/potties and he is difficult to cajole to do anything at the best of times. I need someone with experience of stubborn boys to give me micro-instructions on how to go about this. Although I know they can refuse to take him to nursery (as it would be seen as excluding) but I would like him to be more or less there.0

Well done K :T she is doing so well. I bet it won't be long till she is going all the way through.
My little girl goes to pre school now and loves it but she will get her free place at Easter as well so will go more often.
I managed to get her potty trained really quickly just trying to get her to go through the night dry at the moment which is sooooooooooo much harder.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

I have 3 boys and they were all quite tricky! My only piece of advice is pick a quiet time, atleast a week when you don't have to go anywhere and just foucs on getting them dry. I found the book "I Want my Potty" really useful and we all had great fun shouting "I want my potty" and just made it a game. Good luck - you know he will succeed!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
My youngest Preston who's 2 next week has some how become dry at night he refuses to wear a nappy and has been dry bar the odd accident for about 3 weeks, he also refuses to wear a nappy or clothes for that matter in doors and has potty trained himself both 1 and 2's... But I had a nightmare with the other 2, DS1 didn't even try until he was 3 when he got a batman suit and as you know batman doesn't wear nappys, DS2 was trained by my sister at about 3 again getting them dry of a night was really hard though.. I just think that when they are ready the will do it!DEBT FREE 23/FEB/07 TWO YEAR's!! £2 £1020.00 Banked New total £268+ and counting SAVINGS 3000.00- ISA £30. :j0

Maybe that's the answer I-A? Would Ash like to be a fairy, Sleeping Beauty, or any other character? Or maybe WonderWoman, bearing in mind she's your daughter!
We used "I want my potty" too, for DS2. great book, as are the others of his like "Oscar got the blame".0 -
Off to look for "I want my potty" on Amazon, I haven't come across that one. Sorry to Hijack thread again IA but can anyone tell me are pullups worth it or should we go straight to pants and just deal with the accidents as they happen?0

In my experience as a nursery nurse I'd say that pullups are a waste of time as you're just teaching them to wee in another form of nappy...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
