Chargeback / AJet / booking.com / Barclays

I booked a flight through booking.com which was subsequently cancelled by the airline (Ajet) in May.
I paid with my Barclays debit card.
I have been fighting to get a refund since.
Booking.com say they won't refund until they get a refund themselves from AJet and say they have submitted the request.
Any attempt by me to get information from AJet as to why they won't action the refund gets ignored as "it's not your ticket, it's the travel agents ticket".
I ran out of patience with booking.com and tried to raise a chargeback with my bank (Barclays), but it's a "computer says no" situation because it's over 120 days since I paid and they get an error message to that effect on their system. I spoke to multiple bank people on this and they all had the same experience.
I spotted on here that it should be 120 days from the time of when the flight was due to take place (late June) but Barclays still say they can't raise the claim and when I mentioned the time limit has not been breached say that banks have their own policies on this.
Any advice?
As a side issue, AJet are awful.

For Visa, chargeback appears to be 120 days from the purchase. For Mastercard, chargeback appears to be 120 days from expected delivery date of the service.https://www.mastercard.co.uk/content/dam/mccom/global/documents/chargeback-guide.pdfIf you are claiming a refund then I believe you need to go via booking.comUnless booking a package holiday, I tend to book flights directly with the airline. Where you have multiple parties involved then no-one wants to take the blame when something goes wrong.

Thanks for that.
If that's the case, then the MSE page on chargeback needs to be updated. The page says that both Visa and MasterCard have stated that for future dated items such as flights, the 120 days begins on the expected delivery date, not payment date.
I would have given the link to the page, but as a new poster, I'm not allowed to post links unfortunately.0
