Hi I have completed Martins claim form and sent it to Mercedes.
I got a response back in February and I have heard nothing at all since (I will paste response below). Is this normal? Or should I chase it up? I know Martin has published a list of how the companies have handled it so far however Mercedes is not on there.

Thanks for emailing us at MBFS-Commissions@mercedes-benz.com with your Mercedes-Benz Finance Commissions Complaint. We confirm receipt and we'll respond to you in due course. |
Please note, we're following the Financial Conduct Authority guidance (Car Finance Complaints | FCA) to pause providing final responses to certain commissions complaints at this time. We'll be contacting everyone who is affected by this pause. Any enquiries not affected will continue to be dealt with in accordance with our normal procedures. |

FCA are still looking into this. Last date is into next year. So a long wait still, even then they may say noting wrong.
Wish MSE would add a sticky informing people of this.Life in the slow lane1 -
The FCA are currently giving companies until the end of December next year to resolve complaints but that is subject to change and will in part be dependent on how the court cases that are currently ongoing go and if they are appealed. Most expect the timescales to go back.
The FCA guidance is that firms should look to at least confirm or deny DCA was in place as soon as is practicably possible but there is no requirement for them to do so and inevitably with every ambulance chaser now advertising about reclaiming your finance costs inevitably companies are going to be swamped.
Mercedes aren't on the "probably not worth bothering" list this site has compiled from feedback but that could be just because they are being slow to respond and so haven't gotten enough responses to judge. Similarly there is a notable difference between new and secondhand cars with the later being more likely to have had DCA than the former.1 -
I just got confirmation this week from Mercedes that they paid a scaled discretionary commission to my dealer.
only problem is that they are not dealing with any of this for over a year Dec 2025.“We'll be in touch with you after 04 December 2025.“
Looks like it’s a waiting game. I’ve lost the details of another Merc I had, so I’m going to do some digging. Seems like it might be worth a couple of hours of paperwork searching for reg number it as it was bought from same main dealership!0 -

I sent the form to mbfs back in February, got the standard acknowledgement reply March, but still had nothing else, wondered if you started the process around the same time as me.0
